Queensland Corrective Services works toward community safety and crime prevention through an integrated correctional services system delivering humane containment, supervision, and intervention for offenders.
The department strives continuously for more effective and innovative programs and services with a strong commitment to equity and cultural diversity.

A key component of this is our responsibility to provide primary health care for offenders. Our health care professionals build and maintain strong relationships and a positive team environment within the centres.
The Department is an equal employment opportunity employer and encourages women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people with disabilities and people from non-English speaking backgrounds to apply for positions.
We are currently recruiting for nursing positions in a range of different locations throughout Queensland. These roles focus on providing health care to correctional centres by determining offender health needs and developing a plan for offender care based on those needs.
